Hi, I'm Waleed Arshad
A BIM Manager and digital construction specialist with over a decade of experience transforming how complex projects are designed, coordinated, and delivered. Currently based in Riyadh, KSA, I lead BIM delivery on giga-scale projects including the Diriyah Gate Phase 1 — formally approved by AECOM and Parsons.
I hold Autodesk Certified Professional credentials in Revit Architecture, Structure, and MEP, and am a PMP-certified project manager. My work spans ISO 19650 compliance, 4D scheduling, clash detection, and COBie-ready handovers across KSA, UAE, Pakistan, Qatar, UK, and Canada.
My Story
The Beginning
My career started as a Junior Engineer at NESPAK in Karachi, Pakistan — one of the largest engineering firms in South Asia. It was here I got my first exposure to production-scale BIM workflows and the real-world demands of infrastructure delivery.
The Leap
A pivotal move to Autodesk Inc. in Dubai as an AEC Technical Specialist transformed my perspective entirely. Consulting enterprise clients across MENA, presenting at Autodesk University globally, and championing ISO 19650 adoption gave me a strategic understanding of BIM that goes far beyond modeling.
The Growth
Returning to practice as a BIM Design Engineer and then Senior BIM Engineer at NESPAK, I delivered multi-disciplinary coordination for metro rail, hospital, and mixed-use developments — applying standards-based workflows at scale and mentoring junior teams.
The Pinnacle
Today, as BIM Manager at IDEC in Riyadh, I lead BIM delivery on some of the most prestigious giga-projects in the world. The formal approval of my BIM scope on Diriyah Gate Phase 1 by AECOM and Parsons is a milestone that reflects a decade of dedicated practice.
